RPGs and hack and slash? Have you played Neverwinter Nights? Or Diablo II? No way does it go to consoles. Also Uncharted tombraider have platformer elements, which I already said.

Also let's face it. JRPGs are basically Turn Based Games with a linear story. And the PC shines in TBS games.

Edit: Also TPS are FPS games for pussies or just TPS instead of FPS so they can add in a "novel" idea (cover in GoW = crouch in a normal FPS). It also depends on the rythm games. Audiosurf would be quite difficult to handle with analog sticks I think.

You could probably get away with the d-pad since you can already use arrow keys as an alternative to the mouse in Audiosurf.

As for third person shooters (with a behind the shoulder camera like Gears of War), I don't see how that's any different than controlling an FPS. It's also not that big of a deal to play third person games with a revolving camera as I had a fine time playing the PC demo of Arkham Asylum. Then there's Mass Effect which is a hybrid of the two :P

I was thinking of the mose controls more so than the arrows, but yes it can be done.
