Alot of forums say that xbox 360 failed in japan..yeah it did but at the same time it still has users and micorsoft is still trying there best to bring some software out there for the japanese gamers..i just believe that the gamecube was in the third place in america and alot of people didnt say that it was a failure...but with the xbox 360 in japan...people would say "yeah the xbox 360 sold only 350,000 units in japan"...thats not a failure....a failure is when the system doesnt sell at all in a country.

 in a relative way.

in an absolute way x360 numbers are low...

the market can't afford 3 console makers.

on the last generation nintendo was third  and without gba and ds incomes nintendo would had been pulled out from sony and micosoft...

so now the question is who will risk to leave the market????

as now nintendo is in the market both with ds and wii...

the battle is between sony and microsoft...

sony can stay in market even in third place.

ps2 sells still well and psp in "mature phase" (manifacturing price low ,market price stable)

but with those poor numbers in ps3 sells things aren't so calm...they have an operative loss due ps3 research investement...

x360 have good base for occidental software houses ,they paid some good exclusives in japan...

but they really sell very poor in oriental market...

they have still an huge operative loss for selling underprice...

in the end situation is really complicated...

Nintendo home renessaince puts another variable to the game...

numbers in America are really impressive for a poor "gamecube2"...

I see microsoft weeker than sony for Japan market...

but still

ds,wii and even ps2 sells makes ps3 numbers low enough that in long term run could make battle between sony and microsoft really close ...
