You have to move logic through many strange routes to claim software sales held it's own compaired to the hardware sales. I suspect this is partly due to PS3 owners buying a Slim but mostly because most who has a lot of money to spend already bought the consoles when they were full price or after early price drops. So while the PS3 just became affordable for a lot of people they won't immediatly be buying games for it, afterall there is enough free content on PSN to keep you busy until the holiday period. So I'm expecting a lot more software sales for the PS3 then from the 360.
