Awesome numbers for ps3. :o Guess WSR wasn't a system seller after all, even though some people here claimed that MH3/WSR would be system sellers...

It was a system seller, just not a lasting one. It might have more of an effect during the holidays though.

A game wich sells 40+k for many weeks needs to become a system seller. Now the majority of poeple who buy WSR are Wii owners, but slowly there the percentage of Wii owners will decrease, and the one of new gamers will grow. This is it has legs like Wii Fit/Mario Kart Wii.

MH3 is already not a system seller, maybe just some hundreds of Wii are MH3 related.

Did you not notice the boost in hardware when these games were released? That alone qualifies them as system sellers. Whether or not they stay that way is up to discussion, but any game that moves a notable amount of consoles is a system seller.  Both MH3 and WSR did as such. In the Wii's case it is different anyway. Games are released to sustain the sales opposed to boosting them like you see on the other consoles. So it helps even if you can't pinpoint it as a system seller.

I wrote in the wrong way. They ARE shot term system sellers, but WSR has a great chance to become also a long term system seller, while MH3 can do something only on the holiday, but with the big games like GT5, FF XIII, NSMBW and WF+ i doubt it. But you're right, they need to be called system sellers because they had a positive effect on HW.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)
