It is in my top 10 Wii games. Basically if you like Adventuring or Story/Atmosphere>Action the game is great. Since my Japanese isn't good enough to read things without stopping and looking up a kanji, I would spend minutes translating something which kinda adds to the adventuring aspect even more for me since they are like secret messages. By something I mean there is writing all over walls of subways, books to read, or anything else that is all in writing. The main story pretty always has voice-over to accompany the writing. So I understood most of the story. The game tries to bring up a lot of emotions, while sometimes failing, and others succeeding to at least the slightest bit. Battles are pretty basic. You have three weapon types, weak but fast ones, big but slow ones, and projectiles. You upgrade these weapons in a pretty linear faction, but much less so than your average JRPG or Action-Adventure. The weak but fast weapons allow for combos, the big ones charge, and the projectiles stay pretty much the same. So yeah fighting is pretty basic. The main aspect is the exploration gameplay though. The world is BIG and for the most part seamless. You start out in subways, go to amusment parks, hotels, bridges, etc. It is pretty varied, and the graphics are gorgeous. The cinematics are nice, and not too long for a stay, but get to the point. I am a big fan of action-adventures, and RPGs so when a game blends them, and does it right it is guaranteed to be at least good for me. I would give the game an 8.6 if I were to review it btw.
