Also, all the regions are NOT in this game. As of right now, only Kanto and Johto are in the game.

I would also prefer that there are no event Pokemon, myself. That would be just super keen.


I NEVER ONCE FUCKING SAID ANYTHING ABOUT EVENT POKEMON, DID I?  IM TALKING LEGENDARY LIKE KYOGRE OR GROUDON OR LATIAS AND LATIOS.  EVENT POKEMON LIKE DARKRAI ARE BULLSHIT.  I AGREE.  IVE NEVER TRAVELED ANYWHERE TO GET THOSE.  BUT WITH THE ADDITION OF HGSS, YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO PLAY RUBY, SAPPHIRE, FIRE RED OR LEAF GREEN.  YOU HAVE 500 DIFFERENT POKEMON TO COLLECT TO GET 100% IN THIS GAME!!  IT SHOULD BE A BITCH TO GET THEM ALL.  THATS THE POINT OF GAMES, TO CHALLENGE US TO HAVE FUN.

HOW CAN YOU BECOME A "POKEMON MASTER" AND "CATCH 'EM ALL" IF YOU HAVE NO NEED TO EVEN EXPLORE THE REGION OF HOENN.

AND IF YOU HAVE BEEN PAYING ATTENTION TO ANYTHING POKEMON IN THE PAST YEAR OR TWO, THEN YOU WOULD KNOW THAT EVENT POKEMON HAVE BEEN RELEASED OUTSIDE OF TRAVELING ANYWHERE.   NOTHING FOR MEW OR CELEBI.  JIRACHI HAD A BONUS DISK, DEOXYS HAD A GAMESTOP EVENT.  DARKRAI HAD A TOYS R US EVENT AND A DS DOWNLOAD EVENT.  SHAYMIN ALSO HAD A TOYS R US EVENT.  ARCEUS HASNT HAD ANYTHING YET.  SO IF YOU ACTUALLY LOOK AT IT, M,OST OF THEM WERE ATTAINABLE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER ANYWAY.  YOU JUST HAVE TO KEEP ON IT. 

THE DS DOWNLOAD HAS PLANS FOR AN ARCUES EVENT FOR PLATINUM.  AND MEW ANDE CELEBI FOR HGSS.  SO WHILE I DO DISAGREE WITH EVENT POKEMON, DS DOWNLOAD SERVICE WAS CREATED FOR A REASON.  THEYVE ALLREADY SHOWN IT WITH 2 EVENTS SINCE PLATINUM WAS RELEASED 6 MONTHS AGO.

 

SO IF YOUR AT 490 POKEMON LIKE I AM IN YOUR POKEDEX, THEN YOUVE COMPLETED IT 100% WITH WHAT YOUVE BEEN GIVEN.  IF YOU HAVE ALL 493 IN THE U.S. THEN YOU HAVE A POKEMON THAT ISNT REAL.  IT WAS ACTION REPLAYED.  MEW, CELEBI, AND ARCEUS SHOULD BE THE EMPTY PAGES IN YOUR POKEDEX.

The whole travelling thing was meant to be a more moot point.  As long as all of the event pokemon are eventually obtainable through the download service I'll be fine with that.  On the other hand, I still don't like the idea of having to spend a whole lot of extra money on other games just so I can get a few specific legendaries.

As a side note: I'm pretty sure you can get mew in My Pokemon Ranch.

Ok i understand that.  I get what your saying about the money side.  then go to gamestop.  you can buy any used game and return it within 7 days for a full refund.  im fine with getting rid of fire red and leaf green, since the kanto region is in HGSS.  the way i view it though is how can you be a master of a game without even exploring a fourth of the entire world.  its like saying "im the best at mario kart, but ive never played the flower cup, but im still the best."  you cant say your the best at something if you havent played it all.

I probably should clear something up.  I have at least one version of every generation of the pokemon games and have played through them all.  I actually caught every pokemon in silver.  I don't really disagree with you, but I know a lot of people don't like to have to buy extra games to complete one game.
