There are two key features which allow Rock Band to deliver the so-called "Beatles experience."

1. The presentation, which captures the art and styles which The Beatles presented over their career. From the early years of respectable suits and black & white TV to the free love and flagrant use of colour of the late sixties. The Beatles epitomize an era of popular culture, and the game tries to replicate that era, not just drop a new set of songs into Rock Band.

2. A meatier feature: Three point vocal harmony. It takes more microphones to do it, but I understand this game goes beyond melodic singing and challenges players to harmonize their voices. It's critical to the sound of a lot of The Beatles' songs, and it hasn't been done in previous music games.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have played the game and really enjoy it.

What makes it different from the Aerosmith and even RB and RB2 is - it's an experience. It allows gamers to be the 5th Beatle. Talking to one Beatle fan, he said the experience, overseen completely by Apple Corp., was engaging and made you feel like you are on stage with them.

Bottom line is - if you have RB or RB2, it's worth a rental. It's deeper than RB and offers an alternate view of Beatles history, without the bad mojo.

This is actually my only complaint. Pretending like all the bad shit didnt happen, and that they were best friends until the end is sort of lame and misleading.

Bands generally make their best albums when theyre at each others throats. SEE: White Album, Vitalogy by Pearl Jam, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco.

Acting like they were all in harmony to create the most amazing songs is lame to me, even though im sure im going to love the game when i get it, im sure the beatles wouldnt have approved it if it were a true tale until the end as it would have ruined the image  95% of people have of the group.
