So I've been thinking of watching this, but first I would like to know how is it connected to Higurashi? I know both series include murder and mystery, but are they related in any kind of way in story? I heard something like Frederica Bernkastel being in Umineko and I think she's the writer of all the poems in Higurashi manga.
