PS3 will not outsell the 360 in WW sales during the remaining weeks of 2007.
Halo effect is still relevant and will continue to be present through the end of the year.
MS will be offering more bundles (already have the Forza/Marvel bundle in the US).
The "Arcade" model offers a nice price point option near the Wii.
Plenty of good titles coming out for the 360 between now and the end of the year - CoD4, America's Army, Assassins Creed, Kane and Lynch, Mas Effect etc. to drive even more sales over the Holidays.
Cheap HD DVD ($199 Toshiba at Circuit City with 5 HD DVD's) players could reduce sales of PS3 as a Blu Ray player ...
As for sales in "Other" regions I am a bit skeptical of the high numbers of PS3 being posted - given that VG has overestimated NA sales for the PS3 consistently for the past 2 months and there isn't the same check for "Other" regions that NPD provides for America numbers (at least not that I am aware of) sales in Other regions could be a bit inflated.
Regardless, I don't think the PS3 has that much momentum past the price cut to continue outselling the 360 by 35K a week ... as someone else pointed out even if they could maintain that sales gap it would still take a bit over a year for the PS3 to reach parity with the 360 for total units sold in "Other" regions.
At the end of the day that is the biggest change in mindset that Sony faces - they are fighting to gain parity with the 360 at this point and coming from behind is not a position they have been in for a very long time.
