If nintendo dominates korea too (which seems likely) would it be fair to compare sales to other machines since its another market's worth of sales. I guess thats similar to the xbox's situation in japan, but atleast the machine is available there.
It is good to see korea accepting any Japanese consoles now, given their history. I remember reading an article about the early days of arcade machines and korea loved them until it became common knowledge that they were made in japan. People were literally smashing the machines up, their hate for japan was so strong and games such as streetfighter had alot of their japanese references removed.
Capturing Korea almost exclusively would be a massive boost to Nintendo anyway, I hope they do it, It would be nice to see some of the better Korean developed games getting western translations, but i'm not hopeful.
