I also didn't anticipate Microsoft to go as low as 119 Euro (including 19% taxes and free games) last holiday season in my area. I anticipated 149 Euro/Dollar to be the bare minimum this gen for the 360.
This resulted into a lot of kids I feel the Wii would have been a much more suitable console for to buy than a 360, this because the Wii was over twice as expensive. Also to be honest the 360 had too many issues back then (Falcon) with its RRoD, other failures and disc scratching issues for young kids to have to deal with.
But I also stated in the past that in theory Microsoft (ready cash) and Sony (far more assets than MS) could even hand out many consoles for free, destroying any oppertunity for accurate predictions.
