It goes to show just how many PS3's could of been sold if Sony had started like this etc..It would of been compeating with the Wii leaving the 360 a long distance away 3rd.
The numbers really are amazing.
However we have been here before. It is like last september with the 360 etc..
What matters is what happen's when things die down after the holiday period. When sales become pretty low. That is the time when we will see how things will pan out.
The problem for Sony is that these numbers will probably make Nintendo drop price and i would not be surprised one bit to see Microsoft do something just before the holidays.
When that happen's if things return to how they were (wii 1st, 360 2nd and ps3 3rd) then it will just be the same pattern over and over until the next gen.
It goes to show how things can change in an instant at any time
