Build on the foundation of radiant dawn with a really deep weapon/armour creation system with a market place where weapons can be bought and sold online. multiple online modes, map creator, co op and maybe even character creation.
if they wanted to go even further they could have you choose where your armies move, and use motion+ guestures in battle to decide on damage (a la paper mario TTYD)
