Who else is psyched about 3D Dot Game Heroes?

*Someone may link to this thread and say people hyped 3D Dot Game Heroes, blah blah blah. I dont care. I just love everything about this game. I am being 100% genuine when I say this.*

This game has hit me like a wave. I have become absolutely obsessed with it since it was first revealed and now I am eagerly anticipating it's Asian release, which hopefully at least has English subs.

This game's style is absolutely amazing. It seems so old school but at the same time feels so incredibly fresh. It's action RPG style looks to be fun and I can't wait to see it in motion, hopefully at this years TGS.

I have been searching the internet for at least 3+ hours tonight just trying to find anything I can on this title. I found that this game not only has incredible music, but the game's head of promotion is the main guy from the old NES game Spelunker!

Awesome!

This title has been released on Japan's PSN if I am not mistaken so it makes sense that he is in the JPN release of Dot Game Heroes.

Now what gets me thinking that this title may actually see a US release is this, which I found on N4G today.

Supposedly Spelunker is going to see a release on the US PSN store!

Now, enough of this games "Head of Promotion" and back to the main point, which is 3D Dot Game Heroes.

This game contains what may be considered your "run of the mill" JRPG storylines. 

From IGN:

"3D Dot Game Heroes is set in the Kingdom of Dotnia. This world was once made up of 2D sprite art like something out of an old school game. However, wanting to attract more people to the kingdom, the king decided to use technology to make everything 3D. This is where something goes horribly wrong, although just what that is has yet to be specified."

"Despite the retro theme, the game does look impressive technically. It's being developed by Silicon Studio, a developer who worked with From on PSP's Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Yuke, but who also does middle ware. 

In line with the visual style, 3D Dot Game Heroes has some traditional RPG themes. The game's background story involves six magic orbs which were stolen by a demon of darkness, who was then defeated by a brave swordsman and sealed away using the combined power of the orbs. You play as the grandchild of that brave swordsman, and you're tasked with saving the world."
