I don't really see the logic in having an emphasis on multiplayer meaning the single player will somehow suffer. I am mainly getting the game for the single player, but I like the concept of multiple players at once (one reason I really like the Donkey Kong Country series).
Personally, this is my most anticipated game yet besides Smash Bros. Brawl, so I will definetly be picking this game up. 2-D Mario bros. is what got me into gaming.
