The soul of gaming was lost the day that sony lauched the ps1, it became a "corporate" business then, so yes, now Sega are gone i could not give a toss anymore who wins, as long as its not Sony.

EXPLAIN Sonic CD's mode where you could play EXTRA MISSIONS if you had Sonic 1, 2 ,3 inserted into the other slot on the genesis (after buying the expensive add on ofcourse).........what a nice way to get people to buy SONIC 1,2,3 in order to be able to play extra content

SEGA invented "DLC" (more like buy the previous sonic games for extra stages on SONIC CD) back before the "evil" PS1 came out in a way

why did they do that? as SONIc was a phenomenon & people would buy those extra games just for those extra levels

all that made $$$ for SEGA too

Of course every company in gaming tries to make money, but the difference between Sega/Nintendo and Sony/Microsoft is that the latter two are using gaming as a means to sell you all other kind of stuff.

Your rant on Sonic CD is ridiculous. As far as I know Sonic & Knuckles is the game you must mean. It was a special cartridge on which you could stack the previous three Sonic games. However, only Sonic 3 contained an extra level (or an extra area within a level)  that was only available through playing as Knuckles. Sonic 2 only added Knuckles as playable character without any greater benefit and Sonic 1 did the same, although I tend to think that Sonic & Knuckles changed nothing about the original game.

A perfectly orchestrated scam to make sure SONIc fans buy all 3 of those games, a trick to trap kids into to make their parents spend more cash on sonic & so giving money to SEGA

Atleast they don't sell you constant upgrades to a current gen console at huge prices (like SEGA did with genesis)
