You see, Sony and their fanboys use launch models for their comparisons to pitch you on buying a slim. They conviniently forget, in their speed tests, that Sony released a new model of phat last year that was much, much better than launch models.

yeah ZenfolderVGI I am not a ravenous, flaming fanboy like most on this site; I post every once in awhile because of how biased this site has shown it can be.  I thank you for this info (I guess I see now why you called it marginal).  This bit of info I did not know about, this model probably was the more profitable since it basically had roughly the same power reduction of the slim.
