Nintendo needs to have a more unified on-line -- one set of codes would be great.

But regardless of what we think, it is going to do things its way. It may be arrogant, but the company has far more experience in making and selling video games. It also comes at it with a very Japanese perspective in some ways. And on-line Wii gaming there is not nearly the issue it is in other markets ... mainly because people have not hooked their Wii consoles up to the Internet.

For those saying that they are mature and want a mature system -- the other consoles offer that. I personally like something with some restrictions. I am 45 -- old enough to be many people's father on this board. But more importantly -- and more real -- the father of a 7 year old son. I have no qualms about him taking Mario Kart on-line when I am not here. I could not say the same thing from my experience on Xbox Live (admittedly, last generation's experience, but still the same type of thing).

So Nintendo will slowly work to improve things. That I am sure. Will it ever be what Live and Home are -- probably not. But then again, Live and Home will probably not be in as many homes as the Wii this generation, so a more restrictive on-line system has not been decremental to the finances of Nintendo. And that is all any of these companies really care about.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
