HTF do you get 183 hours out of Twighlight Princess but only 30 out of Mario 64?

I love Zelda but I still have no desire to go to back to TP yet. I assume you played the shit out of Mario 64 pre-VC.

I have over 1000 hours logged on one game alone. Team Fortress 2, that's over nearly 2 years though not one. I've played as a Spy on TF2 for 5x as long as I played twighlight princess and ~2x as long as you have.
