NA is up for week ending 22nd august and with 100 dollar price-cuts in effect yet the wii only sells 1.7K less than PS3 and 400 less than 360...I know the hd twins outsold the wii but by only 1.7k and 400 and thats much cause wii has nothing while ps3 and 360 got 100 dollar pricecuts...

True, the HDtwins, individually, barely outsold the Wii, which may mean that the Wii has a different customer base and Nintendo's sales will not be affected, but together they doubled the Wii's sales in America and if this continues the Wii will never achieve a %50 market share.

That depends on it continuing, however, and it won't. The week of a price cut or release is almost universally the strongest; from there, it only goes downhill. If this is the best that the HD twins can do at the peak of their saleability, then they pose no threat.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.
