No, he was too dumb to keep from agreeing to the bet, but I don't respect him less for backing out in this case. Carl pushed him into agreeing to a no-win situation on false premises -- that is, conned him -- and therefore I think Wii_Master has a good enough reason to justify backing out.
But I do have low respect for him in the first place for being dumb!
