Let's just think this out for a moment from what is known.
1. Companies generally have to be truthful about profit/loss. So while the producer is using code words that do not reveal real details, the tone has to have some basis in reality or there could be legal issues.
2. The investment for Wii games is generally less than the investment for Xbox 360 or PS3 games. Thus, profitability can come at lower numbers.
3. The investment for a publisher-only may be much less than that for a developer or develop-publisher. So profitability can come at lower numbers.
4. Sega may be viewing this as a long-term, build-an-audience proposition. If that is the case, it may be as interested in rate of sales and total sales than in profitability.
5. Remember that much of the Madworld sales came after a price drop while the Conduit is still full-priced. This means the Conduit may have generated more revenue despite lower sales currently.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
