| COKTOE said: Not exacltly blown-away. For many things my old Sony Trinitron which just broke -a 36'' 4:3 CRT tv that did 720p and 1080i- seemed better. ALOT of settings to tweak both on the new tv and PS3. Not sold on the 120hz thing or the auto-motion plus feature. This tv MANGLES an sd tv signal and my DVDs don't look as good either. An expensive item to be so underwhelmed by. With true motion off, there seems to be some bluring. With it on...it just doesn't look right...yet. I mean, the color and resolution are great, it's just not wowing me like my last tv upgrade. I wonder if I should take it back and get a plasma? I do know I'm going to keep my last Sony tv and get it repaired. Anyway, just rambling till' my laundry is done. |
Should have asked me. The best gaming TV availalble today is the LN52B750(hovering around 2k right now on the big river) from Sammy. It is a really nice set. 240hz, with amazing black levels for an LCD. Unless you want to go with OLED(flashlighting) or Plasma(phosphor trailing and burnin), then you can't get better picture quality, and is has SO much processing on it, that yes, SD looks better on the LNXXB750 series than I've ever seen it.
Only downside, it's glossy screen can turn off those not using it for a home theater.
Get some bias lighting and your TV will look better.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
