Yes. Well there's no difference between talking about films, TV, sport, music and talking about games. It's all a bit nerdy. Talking about work is usually quite sad as most jobs on this planet are pointless/immoral/dull. Business: again, depends on what it is. It's certainly not any more normal than talking about games. |
You're kidding right? Talking about videogames is way more nerdy than talking about upcoming movies and music. Usually when people talk about music/movies they just have a good chat about it, the avergae videogame discussion breaks out into an argument over what games better, review scores are used and people start worshipping companies! Local affairs would actually be the most common thing people talk about WW.
Talking about work and careers is just part of everyday life. When you see a mate from time to time you'l ask him 'how's work going these days' for example.
Business, well, it's a bit iffy. I wouldn't say it's normal, but It's still quite common and mainstreamingly accepted (unlike talking about games).
Anyway, that's enough with this, and this applies to Killergran aswell - You can talk about whatever you want, yes, but talking about games constantly is not for me. I know from seeing various pictures of people on this site that this mostly doesn't apply to them, but every person I know personally that talks about games alot is a social outcast.
To each, his own, in conclusion, I won't be buying IM ;)
