youre reasoning is correct, but the question is meant to suit our own perception of reality. we cant imagine an existance in which time is not present. this would be eternity. but if you think of eternity in the sense of year after year after year and it never stops, then the question becomes managable to answer. basically, if you tempt somebody, youre off the hook for a year. when that year is up, you pretty much have the choice again.. and again and again and again.

i know a lot of these questions dont make sense talking about immortality and eternity and all, but they are designed to make you think and learn about what kind of choices you would make given the situation.
