wait let me get this straight... ps3 had just FIVE days of the slim at the 299.99 price point. (aug 25th-29th)
It was limited on back stock (80 gigs and such)
Slims where a limited release
people did not know they were out because Sony released them early
USA is sonys worst region (because xbox and wii kick its ass here.. lets face it sony fans its true)
Xbox also had a price drop in its BEST region
and sony STILL increased its sales 85% in its worst region and people think this is bad?
i now expect huge numbers for Sony World Wide and in all regions this hoilday.

Concentrate on the 85% increase could be very misleading.
I would think PS3 could increase its sale by 1000% in Japan the first week Slim is released and that would only put it in 20000+ range. 1000% sounds very very impressive but 20000+ for a week certainly doesn't sound as impressive

again. 5 days, 85% increase, no marketing, its xbox land,a limited release, xbox also had a price drop. 85% is very impressive.
Now what you are trying to say is if it stays at this rate it will be more impressive? if so then i agree.
I wont debate this one bit intill jan. 2010 when we finally see the FULL effect of its sales.
ALso if the PS3 sell 20000 for the week in japan it would be a runner for the highest selling console that week. Which in fact is very impressive
