I can't believe I have to explain this.
When someone breaks their TV with a Wii remote, it's their own fault for not wearing a strap, or for getting overenthusiastic and careless. Nintendo can't stop people from being idiots. If the Wii breaks however, that is Nintendo's fault.
Think of the Wii as a kitchen knife. You use it to chop carrots, but if you are careless you can chop off your finger. Was that the knife-makers fault? On the other hand, if the XBox was a knife, the act of chopping carrots would cause it to break.
Moral of the story: only a moron would break his TV with a Wii remote.
