Ps3 slim is like the launch LBP.

Could be a bad thing or a good thing then. Next week might see a increase or it might level off then eventually drop. Even with week 0 LBP the real week 1 wasn't that large in comparison. 70k is pretty good in America though if it hasn't been released to all retailers yet considering Ps3 has struggled to get 100k ww past month.

85% boost is great performance, especially when you consider that ioi is expecting continued growth the following (due to wider release). The interesting part will then be the rest of September for all 3 consoles as that will likely determine who wins the holidays.

360 has a decent boost as well thanks to its price cut.

Wii not doomed but it certainly has a fight on its hands just to win the NPDs and this holiday, forget about 50% market share for a while (assuming they don't drop price or do anything special except releasing games).
