Wii lens cleaning kit?

My Wii is broken and won't read any games. So everyone told me to send the Wii back to Nintendo. I didn't want to send it back because it would be annoying. So I was looking for another way and found the Wii lens cleaning kit!! So my question is does anyone know if this works??
