Well despite what the over hyping on the internet would suggest, the property was never that big to begin with. I mean even before Call of Duty 4, more people had heard of that franchise than Killzone. I mean Killzone was a lackluster PS2 game and a decent PSP. Both that had a decent amount of sales but nothing to really make a huge brand. Just enough to get a decent sized basis.

I mean the game was never going to be a huge seller considering those circumstances. Actually to the contrary of what most are saying, it probably sold better releasing in the time it did then in the holidays. That brand would have been crushed by multiple other brands had it released during the holiday season. Would have had to compete with at least a COD game and we saw how that worked out for Resistance.

Personally I think the sales are pretty good. Will get to around 2 million lifetime sales if not a little more when it goes to platinum hits. Considering the brand before that I'd say that's pretty good. Should have turned a profit (although not a big one) so I think Sony should be relatively happy.

But expecting too much more was exactly the problem I had with the over hyping in the beginning. But people shouldn't have too much of a problem with it going down of being a pretty good shooter of this generation.
