Because the tech is more advanced. There is more data that the developers can get to know where the user is and what the user is doing. Whether there will be software that utilizes said advanced hardware? That is completely up in the air. People who argue about controller rip-offs and whatnot are in my opinion silly. At the very least its not a 1 to 1 ripoff, at least it uses different tech. Natal is even more off the wall than either the sony dildo or the wiimote. You obviously believe in the wii hype train that SONY and MS can't possibly and shouldn't do any motion control. I don't share your opinion.
The fact is the motion control tech coming out from SONY and MS is more advanced. Nintendo can just as easily one-up SONY and MS soon after releases their motion controls with a motion++ (plus plus). Who knows?
