We are going to get patches and bug fixes. Console Gamer 9 years later: Nintendo PHAILS at not having a HDD. Console Gamer: DLC. Never gonna touch it. Waste of time and money. Screw you company. Console Gamer 5 years later: Ha ha Nintendo PHAILS at not having DLC. Either way Nintendo will be having TONS of cash incoming. 5 years later Nintendo will have both as the saturation points and needs are meeting mass consumer requirements. |
So people need to accept not only paying more for their games this generation, but also accept getting less?
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is a game that they split up into numerous "DLC" and when all is said and done, it ends up costing you $38, or more specifically $40 since you can only buy Wii Points in 500/1000/2000 amounts.
A game like Fallout, which allowed you to play after completing the game, had this option removed and then later charged you an additional fee in order to get it back.
JRPGs, which have been known for god knows how long to include big optional boss battles, optional areas and tons of sidequests will now have those limited from what you used to recieve so they can be tacked on for a 'reasonable" $5-10 extra.
If that is what people need to start to getting over, then well, I hope you enjoy getting your incomplete games.
Maybe for you it isn't, but for me the initial $60 entry fee is more than enough.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
