Sunshine has the best camera of any 3d Mario game, and saying otherwise is just plain stupid.
In Super Mario 64 the camera stunk horribly, first there is always something in the way limiting how you can move the camera secondly, being stuck with c buttons instead of c stick ment you could only move the camera 90 degrees at a time. Compare that to super mario galaxy, you again are stuck with a variant of the c buttons, but this time the levels are bigger and more open compared to some of the levels in super mario 64. Also the camera has gone through some serious overhaul making it "smarter" and adjusting better compared to super mario 64.

To get back to super mario sunshine, the camera is yours to manipulate however you want to, full 360 degrees. Not to mention you can zoom so far out mario almost looks like a dot.

As for the secret levels the "classic" mario stages with the true platforming without the FLUDD, if i remember correctly i think there is a 1up mushroom if not 2 on each of those levels so as long as you get 1 atleast and then die it will be no problem. I thought those levels were the highlights of super mario sunshine.

I can understand that the location can be what some people dont like about it, i mean mario is mushroom kingdom. I however thought the paradise island theme was awesome, seeing as that snow themed places are my favorite game locations.
