If you can afford it and there enough games on the 360 that you want then go for it. However don't listen to the people telling you get an arcade. Either pick up the Pro or an Elite. Actually, I'd snag the older Elite or a Pro package if you can. They both comes with Component cables and old Elite SKU has HDMI cables as well. The new Elite SKU does not.
