| lazyrider said: Why are we discussing sales, supply, demand, etc... on the basis of one picture taken by a forum poster who I believe to be slightly not a big Nintendo fan? We should rather discuss using data provided by VGC, NC and Famitsu and see how this game's legs will develop in the post obon weeks ahead. In this 1st post obon week, it fell of course but not by that much (we can compare to WSR for example). Now the following weeks will let us see if it develops MH PSP type legs or MHG Wii type legs. If I had to guess, I'd take the easy route and go for something in between... ![]() |
By all means, make your own conclusions. If you want to go looking for one picture of MH3 controller bundles sold out in Japan, be my guest. The Bic Camera store I go to is a big one in a busy part of Yokohama.
As I've clearly said, I posted this as futher evidence that these bundles are not in short supply at all. It's up to you if you believe that or not.
As for Nintendo, my first game system of any kind was a Nintendo Game n Watch. Juggler, in fact. Still got it, but the LCD is a bit messed up.
Just going back to an earlier post regarding the price, for example, WSR was not to be found in this bargain bin. Nor were a bunch of other games released in the last month or so. Games that have not been oversupplied. I gave examples of other titles in the bin. Just look at the sales of KOF XII in Japan, and you'll understand. Same goes for Gears of War 2 - the drop off on that is terrible. Went from 60K week one to 6K week 2!! Then week 4 it was 980 copies. All of the games in the bin have a surplus of supply over demand. There's really no disputing that.
