I think somebody is assuming too much about Other M from just one trailer and a few interviews. Were did they say it is about Samus' love life? I think it is more about that new women character and her relationship to Samus than anything else. Adam imo was just fan service imo. He doesn't seem important at all. Maybe they will show him die or some other interactions, but I definitely don't see him being the main plot area.
