Maybe, just maybe, Nintendo doesn't care about the raw number of units sold. Maybe they care more about profit.

Just a thought, but the other companies put millions into marketing and are posting losses; Nintendo might actually weigh the cost of marketing to the profit margins.

I don't know, maybe they have some executives that read a text book while they were getting their MBA's. Maybe Nintendo promotes and fires executives based on performance instead of how well they suck up to the boss.

Maybe Nintendo games stay up in the charts longer because they don't blow all the momentum a product may or may not have the first week.

I don't know these are just crazy ideas.
