Why are some hyping Demon Soul like it is a game changer?

I don't recall anyone hyping inFamous until after it released. (Badgenome: Leave this one alone.)

Is it ok to "hype" a game that you really loved regardless of sales? I guess I am asking our xbox fans since they are a little sensitive to this.
