"As for the term "hardcore" it was a marketing term that has been adopted by those who would rather not be called "video game nerds" (or worse). The term has since been beaten to death because those who want to be called it (or play games labelled as it) could not possibly create a more realistic term without deflating their own egos."

I'm a hardcore gamer, which means I'm a game nerd. I admit it.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
