The PS2 slim is a bit smaller than the Wii. It's slightly longer, but about a high, and only 2/3 as wide in addition to the bottom half being even smaller.
So the Wii can actually get smaller. It just won't until Nintendo feels there is a need for a redesign.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
