There are casuals and core gamers.
However, there are two distinct groups within the core gamer mold.
I hesitate to call them n00b and l33t, so lets just call them "casual core gamers" and "niche gamers."
Niche gamers don't play games from a certain genre, just because of said genre. They also don't base their purchasing decisions off of reviews or generally held beliefs. These gamers purchase and enjoy games that they investigate and research. Games that will appeal to them.
Those gamers know what I'm talking about.
Just because something only sells 200,000 doesn't doesn't mean it's not the best game ever made.
Think about it. Wonder to yourself why the term "hidden gem" even exists. What does that imply?
Warhawk, I have no comment, and as CGI always like to remind me, my opinion is mine alone....but my opinion extends far beyond my gaming tastes, and reaches all the way over to your opinion, and judges it harshly.
@OP, it's not a loss unless the games aren't on PS3, and the whole "game woulda looked better were it PS3 exclusive" argument is imo, horseshit, and always has been. 2 games look better than Gears 2 on the PS3, and Heavenly Sword ain't one of em.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
