You are deffinately not educated when it comes to PC gaming;
You are a PC gamer for FPS, RTS,MMOs
those are the true genre that the PC excels at
if you aren't into those type of games then don't bother, but Diablo3 StarCraft2 and a shit load of MMOs are on the way.
Granted you can spend 1000$ dollars on a PC and it can always do more than a console( Keyboard+Mouse standard) ( 360 controller compatible). Remember a console tries to be like a pc with thier "browser" ( PS3,wii), tries to be like a pc with ( Keyboard and mouse option) but ultimately they are not and if you're getting a pc but you consider your self a console player then you've fallen into the pc wannabe console player ( no other way I can put it).
If you think console control is better than PC , then please do your self justice and PROPERLY configurate the FPS setup. Because it's like you saying using your PS3 controller is better for FPS than the M+K & Wiimote.
