Although I own a console I find the controls clunky and it is really the ability to play some games in the living room and use the other media functions that I have one at all. I am the reason Microsoft believe they need to invest in Natal.
For me the benefits of PC gaming are many and cost can be neglible or it can be enormous but that entirely depends on the user. I last invested in my rig some 2 years ago but it still runs the games I play today and the resolution supported by my monitor in this case 16 by 10 widescreen.
My graphics card is showing its age but not enough to warrant replacing it yet but if I do they are now just over £100 to get one that will improve matters. I could add some more memory but that would only help with Supreme Commander on the really huge maps when I get a bit of slow down.
This weekend I will be going to a LAN party. I could take my console with me but I will not as I will have my hands full just playing PC games. If you are in the south of England I hope to see you there http://www.thebiggame.org/
