1.) the sceen is tiny compared to my 64 inch tv.

2.) the controlls suck for fps imo, strategy games are ok

3.)my computer cost 500 dollars and it cant even run call of duty 4 demo on all of its lowest settings

4.) i dont really care about load times

1- Plug your PC into your TV... problem solved

2- Plug your controller into your PC... problem solved

3- You got ripped off.

4- Smaller load times makes alot of difference

I agree with you that this is a rather silly thread (especially the controls part and the price part) but unless you have some dedicated gaming room a lot of the things you reccomend about connecting PC to TV are highly impractical.... IF I had a gaming room or at least had the space around the TV in our living room, I would first need 2 PCs because I don't wish to work/browse in my living room. Then I would need some kind of awkward work around to use a mouse on my couch. Then I would be annoyed because I don't have a HD tv.

So for me at least, these are my options:

Buy a Wii - £180 + games/controllers etc... (Ignoring games I think I have spent about £280 on the machine and perephrials (not including Wii wheel but is including Wii play as a controller, not a game... and includes WM+ though it came with Tiger '10)

Buy an extra PC (I am a normal consumer so I wouldn't really know what to do about building one... I would end up in PC World).... The cheapest PC I have seen here is £300, I would assume that is not enough for running the most modern games well enough, so I will say £400. Then buy cables for connecting PC to TV, and a controller to connect to the PC, (say £50 for all of them?)
Then buy some kind of table to fit over me while on the couch... perhaps like you get for eating in a hospital bed.
Oh, and buy a new TV.

Although bare in mind a PC I might have bought back in early 2007 (when I got the Wii) would probably have been even more if wanted it to run todays games.... I mean I know laptops are not meant for gaming, but I bought my current one in 2005 for £800 and it can't run anything more modern than GTA:Vice City. I suppose that could probably be solved if I build this PC myself, but I wouldn't have the first clue what to do about that. I don't even know anywhere I could buy a stack without getting the monitor etc.
