I could be wrong but I don't think that the current price of the Wii really limits sales by that much ...
I do think that none of the console manufacturers have really taken advantage of bundles the way they could to encourage system sales without reducing the price. While it wouldn't get people to rush out in a mad panic to buy a Wii, a Wii Fit + Wii Sports bundle on the Wii at $250 would certainly help the Wii maintain its sales level over the next year; and you could probably get a similar result by bundling the Wii with a game and a Wiimote+Nunchuck on top of the Wii Sports bundle.
