I think you embarrass you self more with posting this. Any form of entertainment to embed or become part of society needs to penetrate all levels of age, race, genders. Your display of intolerance towards crap software really shows that you don't want gaming to continue and instead hold it as a perfect gem of memory.

It's like saying that books can only be for 12-24 years old and be written by writers like Rowling, Herbet, King. Truth is books are written for all ages and range in all qaulities, but we don't question anyof this because they are books. Well someday I want to see VG viewed the same way as we see books. How about you?

REALLY! So in order for a console to apeal to all levels of age, race, and genders it must have shovelware. Wow then I guess the Super Nintendo must have sucked. Umm there are games that can appeal to kids without being crap, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, the upcoming Rabbids Go Home.

As for your comparison with video games and books, irrelevant. There aren't 'shovelware books'. There's famous authors and just, well, many non-famous ones that write.

You think the SNES didn't have shovelware? ROFFLE!

Were you born after 1996?
