I agree with the title. Who didn't know this already? They hate the new customers because they are more relevant. One rule of big business is to target 70% of the population and the so called "casual gamers" are it. I think the "Hardcore" fear becoming as unimportant as those of us who like text-based adventures, 2D platformers and arcade shooters. They fear becoming the next underserved customer who gets the shit end of the stick. Just as children fear having attention shifted towards a baby sibling.
