And yet the game isn't out yet, but it has points that feel unpolished.... Let's revisit such a thread after the game has launched.

Now you completely changed the subject. Don't run away like that.

I have played Gran Turismo 4. It feels unpolished. The longer you play, the less you see it's flaws and learn to appreciate it's strengths. But actually driving in the game is... boring. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue had the same problems, from what I played of it.

When you add a damage system, that has the opportunity to really change some of the things I didn't enjoy in GT 4. But, from what I've seen and heard so far, it doesn't seem that way at all. And if you do not change the dynamics of how you drive and how your car feels to handle, it's still going to feel unpolished.

Exactly Killergran, CGI is like a weasel, dodging and running away when he's confronted.

@CGI, yes we wont actually know for sure until release, but why can't you just pretend stuff for a moment and take part in discussions on a hypthetical level (actually you do it when it suits you, like with Heavy Rain you assume and hypothesize lots of things). It's not hard to state a clear opinion on a hypothetical what-if situation. So why can't you simply agree that yes, it would be negative if it turns out that GT5 is in fact a bumper-car game again, and just admit that without proper damage it's not a genuine racing sim?

You have to be kidding me. I really wanted to avoid this but you just had to open up a whole new can of worms:

In threads, such as HEAVY RAIN threads, people such as yourself convince yourselves of your own beliefs and ignore what is actual. It's like arguing with a corpse, a big waste of time. That is why I stopped arguing with you in that thread.

As for in here, GT5 won't be another "bumper car game", as noted by the recent footage. Now if it turns out that it does, I'll happily eat crow. Some how though, I think my stomach will remain empty...

Perhaps you haven't watched all the footage, what about it suggests it'll be a typical Gran Turismo game? I also notice that when it comes to PS3 games you jump on any negative info thrown at it. Deny it all day, the post history speaks loudly...

"It's like arguing with a corpse" lol - comment of the week!

Son, I don't mind if you can't put up with my misconceptions and lamentations about Heavy Rain and other stuff.

That was my point, that you could have admitted about the bumper cars /sim thing to Killergran right away instead of dodging. It's all settled now though. You made it clear.

About the new GT5 footage, my own first impressions were actually that it's looking great when it comes to damage. But then these threads come up where people highlight the fact that it's still unsure whether the game will have proper damage or not - that worry is clearly expressed in the OP and also by Killergran, Sega4life and even RPG in this thread. I just listen to what they say and draw conclusions that it's still vague apparently. Now honestly, this information about a lack of damage is something that would make me disappointed because Im really really looking forward to this game.
