But for real the Slim is probably gonna speed up load times...and that's it when it comes to power. Same power but it's smaller, takes up less energy so it's easier on bills and also is also cooler and with a removable HDD. That's pretty much the whole benefit.

That's a fair link, I'll accept that as evidence.

That said, I think the "performance improvements" mentioned are at least partly referring to "less heat" and "uses less power."

Performance improvements in a chip don't mean performance improvements in your games. Again, the cell was never the bottleneck here, and loading times have much more to do with HD and BR speed, than does processing speed.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. :P
