It looks very amateur, and the story about quaranteeing aliens like they were refugees or apartheid is politicised and stupid.
I am so happy this guy didn't get to direct Halo. It would have been utter shit with documentary looking shaky cam photography.I read the plot of D-9 at wikipedia, and it was just as clichéd as I guessed from the trailer.
Alien apartheid, political symbolism, big evil corporations exploiting everything, inter-galactical friendship, sympathies from the common people , good guys win etc lol.
